  The #1 restaurant for Italian food in the Twin Cities area, yes, but the real delight is the Sunday chicken dinner special. It's a half chicken fried with two sides and only available on Sunday. Poppy's always has the best of service. We're usually in and out in about 45 minutes to an hour when the immediate seating light is on. My favorite menu item is spaghetti and meatballs, the true measuring stick of any Italian restaurant. I highly recommend a trip to Poppy's at least every now and then.

  Paul Albano, the owner, has a nice menu. The food is good and the Italian Chicken dinners are very good. They have prime rib a couple times a year which everyone loves. They have several salads which are very good. My only hold back is it is a little pricy. If you come on a prime rib night be prepared for a wait. We had a 30 minute wait last night.
